The appropriate fee needs to be paid at the time of the initial application for membership. Each year members need to renew before the end of February otherwise membership will lapse if the fee is not paid  (unless there are considerations which the committee will take into account).  Membership payments are accepted behind the bar.  Please ensure your name is entered into the membership book.  Receipts can be provided.

How to apply for membership:

As a private members’ club we ask all who want to be a member to fill in an application form (these are available in the club and there is a copy below). All applicants have to be proposed and seconded by an existing full, or senior member of the club.  This is not as onerous as you might think - we are a friendly bunch and members will usually help out. This is why you will need to come into the club before making your application.

At the time of application a fee is paid (either £3.50 or £7.00p per year depending on type).  This can be paid at the bar (cash or card).

The completed form is then placed on the noticeboard for a minimum of two weeks.  Members may comment on the application, although it is unusual for them to so.

When applications are discussed by the committee they are invariably passed!

The secretary may contact you to let you know you have been successful, or will put your membership card and welcome note in an envelope behind the bar - if unsure then do ask.

From the time you have completed the application form and it is posted on the noticeboard (with the fee paid) you are welcome to use the club.  However, until the committee have validated your application you will not be able to bring guests into the club (this will then be two guests on any one occasion).

(If you use the copy below you will need to print and fill it in, and then take it to the club in order to pay club fee).
